I am Kennedy Watts and this is my website. I am a 3D modeller currently based in Ottawa
and a recent Algonquin College graduate (2026).
I initially entered into college with no experience in 3D nor the expectation that I would specialize in it,
but in my second year I found that I loved doing it.
My love for 3D animation is informed by the media I consumed as a child, and the videogames I played on my xbox 360 and wii.
I grew up watching Disney, Blusky, Pixar, Dreamworks, and Sony (like most kids.) I was also huge on videogames.
Super Mario Galaxy, Kirby: Return to Dreamland, and Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole were particular favourites in my house.
While 3D animation played a large part in my childhood, I never imagined myself working on projects like the ones I loved as a kid.
The production of 3D animation was always elusive to me, that it until I got older.
Recent movie releases have me excited about the future of 3D animation; boundaries are being pushed, new styles are being explored.
We're seeing more what we can do with 3D animation.
Video games also still have my heart, AAA and indie projects alike.
I would love to start a career in either industry (or both!) as long as I'm making art and helping tell a story, I am happy.
